Re-Excavation/Resample.!I Due to the depth of groundwater and the small <br /> size of the tank Jim Thorpe Oil , Inc./dba Rich-Mart <br /> elConstructhe tion <br /> and d <br /> Wm Hunter & Associates, Registered Geologists, <br /> of clieanup'will be a re-excavation/resample. The excavation will start <br /> at a point 5 feet east of the existing excavation and extend west <br /> to a point approximately 20 feet distant and a point south approx- <br /> imately 5 feet from the existing excavation to a northerly point and <br /> approximately 20 feet distant The excavation shall be approximately <br /> 20 feet in depth. The close proximitylof the water well (see attached <br /> plot plan) precludes excavation to the southwest any large distance . <br /> Hopefully, all contamination will be cleaned up within the parameters <br /> suggested The resulting excavation will be approximately 20 feet by <br /> 20 feet by 20 feet Total amount of spoil removed will be approximately <br /> 300 cubic yards. All spoil will be placed on plastic <br /> covered with same on site Soil disposition decisions can be made after <br /> amounts and contamination levels are ascertained Samples will be taken <br /> at the middle of the length of each sldewall at approximately 2 feet up <br /> from the bottom and 5 feet above that (i .e. 7 feet from the bottom) and <br /> 2 bottom samples at approximately 3 feet 1n from the east and west ends <br /> of the excavation, 2 samples will be taken from the spoils pile resulting <br /> in 12 soil samples total Soil samples will be analyzed for EDB, BTEX, <br /> and TPH-G Water samples will be taken from the 2 wells on site on the <br /> time of excavation and analyzed for same The entire project will be <br /> under the direction of Wm. J Hunter & Associates, Registered Geologists,, <br /> All reports, conclusions, and recommendationswill <br /> osedion <br /> eexcavatthem <br /> sample <br /> Scale drawings showing existing excavation, pro P <br /> locations and plot plan are attached. <br /> 7.
