TO: APCD Staff <br /> FROM: Seyed Sadredin, Assistant AP Engineer <br /> DATE: October 16, 1986 <br /> RE: Contaminated Soil Aeration <br /> The following policy is followed by the San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control <br /> District in approval of such projects: <br /> 1 . Uncontrolled Aeration <br /> A person shall not aerate contaminated soil at a rate in excess of that specified <br /> in the following table for the degree of organic content. Storage Piles <br /> 4 Contaminated soil which is not being aerated shall be covered ',except when soil is <br /> being added or removed. Any uncovered contaminated soil will ',be considered to be <br /> aerated. <br /> 4. Administrative Requirements <br /> The person responsible for aeration of any contaminated soil shall provide the <br /> District , by telephone, with the following information. This shall belprovided <br /> no less than 24 hours prior to aeration of any contaminated sail . TheDistrict <br /> shall be notified within 2.1 hours if any of the parameters change. <br /> sr a. Location <br /> • b. Quantity of soil to be aerated (total ) . <br /> C. (quantity of soil to be aerated in any day. G <br /> d.
