WEST ' Ine. #320029
September 03 , 1993
Ms . Linda Turkette
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
455 San Joaquin Street
Stockton, CA. 95201
Subject : Limited Groundwater Assessment
Cal West Concrete Cutting, Inc .
Manteca, CA. 95336
Dear Ms Turkette,
Enclosed are the analytical test results for the third of three
rounds of ground water sampling from the newly installed monitoring
well , at our facility in Manteca complete by Kleinfelder, Inc .
Their report summarizes the field activities and results of the
groundwater sampling. Petroleum Hydrocarbon concentrations were
below the maximum contaminant levels , which is used as a drinking
water standard .
We at Cal West believe in a clean environment and follow guidelines
established by various government agencies to protect the safety
and health of others , as well as our own employee' s . We have spent
a tremendous amount of money and time on these projects , along with
environmental impact projects resulting from our type of business .
The removal of fuel tanks , and completing repeated test
requirements of soil and water, with results being borderline or
non-detect should satisfy all agencies . Therefore , this site
should be given a clean bill of health.
Cal West Concrete Cutting , Inc . request closure of the monitoring
well , as well as closure of the excavated area where tanks were
originally removed from the site located at , 1153 Vanderbilt
Circle , Manteca, CA. Results from the first test were below
drinking water standards , second round test were non-detect . Third
round test were below first round and were scarcely above non-
detect .
Your immediate attention to this matter would be greatly
appreciated .
Si
Brick Josep
Branch Manager
1153 VANDERBILT CIRCLE, MANTECA, CA 95336 (209) 823-2236
