SjCPFIS,EHD concurred with Condor's recommendations, with"the modification that over-excavation continue below the static water level and that impacted groundwater in the excavation be removed: 3.0 :PROPOSED SCOPE OF:WORK Condor will monitor theaver excavation and dewatering of contaminated soil and groundwater associated with 2 USTs formerly -located at the site. .Previous investigations indicate the lateral,extent of: soil contamination associated with the USTs encompasses an area approximately 60 feet by 70 feet.,-The estimated lateral-extent ofsoil,eontammation 1s.shown-on-Figure 2, Appendix A Approximately 2,000 to 2;500 cubic yardsof soil will be removed.during over-excavation The over-excavation will proceed`in stages..:.The initial stage will involve site preparation to manage storage of excavated soil This will be followed by the'over-excavation of soil near the south end of the former}location of TKl to below the static wateraevel.__One groundwater sample will .then-be collected from the open excavation-to evaluate options for groundwater disposal. Based ori the results of the laboratory analyses, over=excavation will resume or additional measures will be proposed to dispose of hydrocarbon impacted water. 3.1 -Site Preparation ...-,-.Site preparationwill include the construction of a containment area capable of storing 200.to.,40� cubic yards of saturated soil.
