Ms. Mary Ways
RE: Marital Deduction Trust
June 12, 1992
Page 3
well MW2 due to the recent institution of a se i-annual rotating sampling schedule for
monitoring wells MW2 and MW3. All purged water was containerized in DOT approved drums
and left on site pending laboratory analyses.
Laboratory results determined that monitoring well 1 contains detectable levels of benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, and TPHG. Monitoring wells MW3 and MW4 reported
nondetectable levels for all requested analytes. boratory results with chain-of-custody
documents are presented in Attachment 3. Table 2 si mmarizes laboratory results since August,
1990.
Laboratory analyses determined that the hydrocarb n plume is limited to the vicinity of well
MW1 and does not contain diesel constituents. T ierefore, on behalf of McAllister Trusts,
RESNA Industries requests that all laboratory anal'
ses of wells MW2 and MW3 and diesel
analysis of wells MWl and MW4 be discontinued. epth of water will continue to be measured
in each well during quarterly sampling. Two quarters prior to a closure report, all monitoring
wells will be analyzed for BTEX, TPHG, and TPH .
Due to the nondetectable constituent concentrations in MW3 and MW4, RESNA proposes to
discharge the purge water from MW3 and MW4, and the soil cuttings from MW4 to the planter
area onsite. If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please contact me at
(209) 838-3507.
Respectfully,
RESNA Industries, Inc.
Tina Le Page
Project Manager
Gregory P. Stahl
CA Registered Geologist No. 5023
GLN/ggk
Attachments
cc: Mr. John Dieckman, Trustee
L051592.GLN
