The soil
sample was collected at a depth of approximately 18 feet below grade in the vicinity of
monitoring well MW 1. The water sample was collec ed from a portable tank which contained
surface runoff and groundwater pumped from the excavation pit.
Samples were analyzed for the presence of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX),
total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), ar d total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel
(TPHd) by Argon Laboratories, a State certified Hazardous Waste Laboratory (Certification
No. 1873). No petroleum hydrocarbons were detected above method detection limits for
either sample.
Due to the absence of contaminants, water stored in the portable tank will be discharged to the
ground surface within the boundaries of the site.
1500591L-122094.doc
