NTA j: 11111AUXH
1868 E Hazelton Avenue DEPT RIME 11
Stockton , California 95205
Regarding : May 6 , 2019 Hazardous Waste Inspection Report - 1505 Tillie Lewis Dr RTS
PR0539194
Dear Mr . Alainiz:
RTS Packaging has completed the waste evaluation and testing of the " metal wastes from grinding
and cutting " you identified in your May 06 , 2019 inspection . Per your guidance , we have been
managing this waste as a hazardous waste while we tested it for heavy metal toxicity parameters
under California TTLC/STLC and EPA TCLP . The results of this testing is provided in the attached
summary table and laboratory analysis reports . The analysis demonstrates that the metal shavings
are below the TTLC and TCLP metals respective regulatory levels and is therefore , not a hazardous
waste .
RTS Packaging proposes to discontinue collecting and managing this metal shaving waste as
hazardous . RTS will maintain this documentation and conclusions on -site for future inspections .
Based upon these results , we respectfully asks that San Joaquin County rescind this violation from
RTS Packaging ' s record .
If you have any questions or concerns with our proposed actions , please feel free to contact us .
Thank you .
Sincerely ,
Patrick Sullivan , General Manager
RTS Packaging - Stockton , CA
cc : Steve Haselmann , Yonathan Higareda , Steve Hamilton , Clark T
