Box 2009
Stockton, CA '95202
REVIEW OF PROBLEM ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR LA MERSVILLE SCHOOL. - 16555 WEST VON
SOSTEN ROAD, TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
Below is a staff review of Lammersville Sc ool .District`s Problem Assessment
Report, dated 16 July 1990, and subsequent ground water analysis. The
following staff comments should be incorporated with your correspondence:
The Problem Assessment Report was as adequate. It identified the
area where the ground water was contaminated at your site and an
extraction system to pump and treat the contaminated ground water.
However, further definition must be done at the site first.
We agree with this recommendation, but the data shows that the
contaminated ground water has moved. Now, more site investigation
is needed to establish the extent of the contamination, so an
appropriate remediation plan can be developed.
We, therefore, request that a workplan and time schedule be
submitted by 30 July 1991 detailing h' w the contamination is to be
defined and the remediation plan implemented.
If you have any questions, please 'call mea (916) 361-5723:
JA MAUGHAN
Area Engineer
JBM:gs
a
I
