'We have found <br /> the plan to be adequate provided the -following considerations of <br /> both our office and Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> staff are addressed. <br /> 1. A scaled drawing must be provided that has the <br /> following information: <br /> A. Location of all former tanks and pipelines. <br /> B. Locations of any unde ground public and/or private <br /> utilities such as septic s stems and leach fields, <br /> sewer lines, water lines aid any overhead lines. <br /> C. Location of any publi or private wells located on <br /> the site. <br /> 2 . Provide detailed top view and cross-sectional diagrams <br /> of any proposed re-excavation sites. Calculate the <br /> total cubic yardage of re- xcavated soil. Stock-piled <br /> soils shall be stored so t at vapor emissions and dust <br /> controls are restricted. 3ubmit details of the on-site <br /> storage method. <br /> 3 . Illustrate on detailed sit map suggested locations of <br /> sidewall and bottom tank h le sampling, based upon one <br /> (1) sample per 25 cubic ya ds removed. <br /> In the event groundwater i encountered during <br /> excavation, the bottom sample should be collected at <br /> soil/water interface and a "grab" water sample <br /> collected for analysis. <br /> 4 .
