Sacramento, CA 95827--3098
RE: PROBLEM ASSESSMENT
LAMMERSVILLE SCHOOL, TRACY, CA 95376
Dear Mr . Brent:
Groundwater Technology, Inc. (GTI ) presents this proposal for
additional site assessment work at th Lammersville School in
Tracy, California. The work steps Included in this written
proposal would - provid,e the hydrogeolo is and chemical data needed
i
for preparation-of a Prob'lem ,Assessme t Report (PAR) which is
required by• the Cali'fo-rn•ia Regional, W ter Quality Control Board,
Central Valley Region (CRWQCB--CVR) . In order to define the
downgradient extent of the dissolved hydrocarbon plume, GTI
recommends the following work steps :
Install three additional 2-inch diameter PVC monitoring
wells to a total depth of 2C feet at the approximate 4
locations shown in Figure 1
I
Collect soil samples at 5-f of intervals to total depth
of the wells, using a split spoon sampler and brass ,
sample tubes.
Select one soil sample from each boring and submit the
samples to an analytical laboratory for analysis of
total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) as gasoline, and
benzene, toluene, ethylbenz ne, and xylene (BTEX)
concentrations
Survey the three new wells for elevation control .
" Monitor groundwater levels and collect water
samples from all monitoring wells . The wells
would be purged by bailing rrior to sampling to
insure representative formation water is obtained
for analysis .
i
Officcc lhrnvyhnrrt fhu 1.r.,S.,C:Urrndn<nrl(h•c•rcens
}
