Soi I Classification System.
9) Collect grab, ground water samples from selected borings. Ground water samples will be
collected using-a peristaltic pump. Sainples-will be collected in 40-m1 VOA vials anal 1=liter
amber.bottles.
10) Selected soil acid ground water-sarriples will be analyzed for TPH (gasoline and diesel) and
BTE&X in accordance.with EPA methods 503 /8015m and 8020, respectively.,
11) Backfill each probing using a concrete-bentonite slurry in.the entire depth of the probing. .
4.2. QUARTERLY'GROUND WATER MONITO G
Ground water samples will be collected from all wells-at the site. The following procedures will be
performed:
1) Ground water depthmeasurements.-The depth to ground water will be measured in.each'well
relative to the top of the well casing. Measurements will be made to the.nearest 0>01 inch..
2) Each well will,be purged,of standing water I o, stabilize ground water parameters (pH,
temperature, conductivity). A minimum of thr e well volumes will,be removed from each
_ well. Stabilization measurements will be collect& at 1-gallon intervals. Wells will be purged
using a submersible pump or PVC bailers.
3) Collection of one (1)'ground water`sample from each well. Samples will be collected using
disposable plastic bailers and will be transferred,t '40-m1 VOA vials and 1-liter amber bottles.
4) , Transmission of ground water samples.to a Sta.e-certified laboratory for analysis. Samples
will be transported under chain-of-custody procedure.
5) Samples will,be analyzed.for TPH-g, TPH-d and IBTE&X in accordance with approved EPA
methods.
