(GTI) presents this letter as
an update report on the continuing subsurface investigation at
the above-rererencb!u site. The initial results of GTI's work at
the site were presented in a Subsurface Hydrocarbon Investigation
Report, dated August 10, 1987.
The initial work steps carried out in June 1987, included
installation of five monitoring wells (Figure 1, Appendix I) ,
groundwater monitoring, and collection of soil and water samples
toluene, ethylbenzene, and
which were analyzed for benzene, asoline
xylene (STEN) , and total petroleum hydrocarbon (ZPH) as g
concentrations. No hydrocarbons were encountered
initheateranalyzed
soil samples, but dissolved hydrocarbons we
re- -samples-collected.._from all five monitoring wells (Mws) , with TPH
as gasoline concentrations ranging from 6,958.p per bil
(ppb) in MW-2 to 32.5 ppb in Mw-4. The well head elevations were .
t surveyed to an arbitrary datum of 100 feet. Monitoring data
Offices thrvkchual the VS..Canada and Onvseas
