's (GTI ) subsurface investigation at the Lammersville School <br /> located at 16555 West von Sosten Roa(t in rural Tracy (see Figure <br /> 1 , Site Location Map ) . The 1nvestIgat lon was performed in <br /> accordance with a work request dated April 24 , 1987 from Kenneth <br /> Olds ( Superintendent) of the Lammersville School District. In <br /> brief , the investigation included the drilling of five soil <br /> borings , installation of five monitoring wells and subsequent <br /> soil sampling/analysis and water sampling/analysis of the five <br /> _.. monitoring wells . <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located on the Lammersville School grounds <br /> about 10 miles northeast of Tracy , in a rural residential <br /> area, (see Figure 1 , Site Location Map) . Elevation at the site <br /> is approximately 15 feet above mean sea level . <br /> A suspected leaking fuel tank was recently removed by a <br /> contractor hired by the School District. The tank excavation pit <br /> _. is presently covered with boards and the excavated materials <br /> have been piled along; the east side of the tank pit. <br /> 3 <br />
