(GTI) presents this letter as
an update report on the continuing subsurface investigation at
the above-referenced site. The initial results of GTITs work at
the site were presented in a subsurface Hydrocarbon Investigation
Report, dated August 10, 1967.
The initial work steps carried out in June 1987, included
Installation of five monitoring wells (Figure 1, Appendix I) ,
groundwater monitoring, and collection of soil and water samples
which were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and
xylene (STEX) , and total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) as gasoline
concentrations. No hydrocarbons were encountered in the analyzed
soil samples, but dissolved hydrocarbons were found .in water
samples collected from all five monitoring wells (Mws) , with TPH
as gasoline concentrations ranging from 6,958 parts per billion
(ppb) in MW-2 to 32 , 5 ppb in MW-4. The well head elevations were
... surveyed to an arbitrary datum of 100 feet. Monitoring data
thnx{yfhuu!the VS..t'amtddwufflr"Is'0 -
