INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Kenneth OIds of the Lammersville School District (LSD), <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironrnental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Closure Summary Report (CSR) <br /> detailing the investigation of former underground storage tanks (USTs) located at 16555 West Von <br /> Sosten Road, Tracy, California(the site) <br /> All included in this report are details of aeration treatment cell sampling and quarterly monitoring <br /> of eight existing ground water monitoring wells in November 1996 The location of the site is <br /> illustrated in Figure 1 -Location Map A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> Monitoring and sampling activities and the preparation of this CSR were performed in accordance <br /> with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2 1 SITE LOCATION <br /> The property is Iocated at the northwest corner of the intersection of Von Sosten Road and Hansen <br /> Road in a rural area northwest of Tracy in San Joaquin County, California Lammersville Elementary <br /> School is approximately 10 acres in size <br /> The maintenance yard, which is the area of concern, is situated on the eastern portion of the property <br /> along Hansen Road The school yard is located immediately to the west and south of the site A <br /> maintenance garage and house are located near the nort4east corner of the site, two USTs were <br /> formerly located in this area The tanks were used to fuel school vehicles (Figure 2) <br /> 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> LSD operated one 550-gallon regular gasoline UST and one 2,000-gallon diesel UST at the site The <br /> gasoline UST was removed in December 1986, the diesel UST was removed in March 1989 <br /> Laboratory analysis of samples collected beneath the gasoline UST indicated the presence of release <br /> of total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) However, no detectable <br /> concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d) were detected in the <br /> samples were collected beneath the diesel UST following its removal <br />
