Ms.Margaret Lagorio <br /> Public Health Services <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> April 29, 1997 <br /> Page 2 <br /> • Ground water samples will be collected from the uppermost water-bearing unit at each <br /> sampling location with the geoprobe to evaluate the ground water quality (Figure 1). In <br /> addition, ground water samples will be collected from the three on-site monitoring wells. <br /> Ground water samples will be transported to a California-certified laboratory, with a trip <br /> blank supplied by the laboratory and chain-of-custody forms. One duplicate sample and one <br /> field equipment blank will be collected and analyzed along with the ground water samples <br /> for quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)purposes. Select ground water samples will be <br /> analyzed for VOCs by EPA Method 8240, total organic carbon by EPA Method 415.1, total <br /> nitrogen as nitrite and nitrate by EPA Method 300, ammonia by EPA Method 350.2, and <br /> TPH as gasoline and diesel by EPA Method 8015 Modified. The ground water pH level will <br /> be field monitored with a hand held pH meter. <br /> • With the owner's approval, soil cuttings generated during the investigation will be stored in <br /> an appropriately labeled 55-gallon drum at the site until analytical results are obtained and <br /> proper disposal methods can be assessed. The borings will be backed filled according to San <br /> Joaquin County regulations. <br /> Delta anticipates that this work will occur during he first week of May 1997. Enclosure B contains the <br /> completed soil boring permits along with a check for$323 to cover the permitting fees. <br /> The interpretations contained in this document represent our professional opinions, and are based in <br /> part,on information supplied by the client.
