Percolation Test Irerracon
Pickens Residence o Tracy, California
August 14, 2018■ Terracon Project No. NA181172
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATION
Based on the results of the field work, site soils consist primarily of dry clay in the upper 1.8 feet
and fine sand to a fine sandy silt with clay from 1.8 feet to 10 feet bgs. A visual inspection of the
soils from the percolation test and soil profile borings point to favorable conditions for shallow
septic disposal. The presence of sandy soils at depths to 10 feet bgs should allow for adequate
seepage or percolation. Based on the percolation test results (5 minutes/inch), the soils within
the proposed sewage disposal area appear suitable for a standard septic system given the
percolation rate is well below 60 minutes/inch. Septic system construction should follow the San
Joaquin County Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems Standards where applicable.
LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed
at the time we excavated our soil borings and performed the percolation test. It was assumed
that the soil borings and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions
in the general area.
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed
in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices. This warranty is in
lieu of all other warranties either expressed or implied. Test findings and statements of
professional opinion do not constitute a guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. Our professionals provide
geotechnical, environmental, construction materials, and facilities services on a wide variety of
projects locally, regionally and nationally. For more detailed information on all of Terracon's
services please visit our website at www.terracon.com.
