Tom Gau
January 5, 1989
Page Two
4 . The subject project (except for 20 acres to the
east) is enveloped by roadways, irrigation ditches,
and railroad tracks. Other potential subdivisions
would be at some distance from the subject project
and therefore, it seems appropriate that a site speci-
fic drainage study be made and that the results of
that study apply to the drainage design for this
specific project. Assuming a drainage plan for this
specific project (and others) the need for an area
benefit would be avoided. What are your thoughts?
5. What are the general specifications for a community
water system where the low portion of a lot is in the
rear, bearing in mind that this project is in an
orchard. What are the general specifications for
surface runoff at the streets and for underground
collection.
6 . How do you view a lift station at the low end or
north end of the project that would transport drain
water to the south therefore using property next to
the railroad tracks for storm retention?
It is important that we achieve answers to these questions
as it has an enormous economic impact on this project.
Sin erely,
*
W.
