Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Attention: Lorre Islas
Dear Ms . Islas :
The Linden Unified School District Board of Education
is concerned about the impact that the residential development
designated in the proposed General Plan within its boundaries
will have on its facilities. Hxistin school facilitirrs will
not be adequate for, the increase in stu ent o u a ion w is
would result from _ actual development of thero 4se
residential des/ nn~ -onS . Provi.sions must be made to insure
s r~qua e resources to _rovic additional sufficient educational
facilities .
. ---
The primary responsibility for providing the additional
financial resources which are required as a direct result of
residential development lies with the new developers who must
each assume their fair share .
Please note that the Linden Unified School District not
only encompasses the Linden area specific plan, but also the
Peters plan, as well as currently developing areas in Morada
and white Lane. We are particularly concerned with the
impaction resulting from development in these two areas which
has taken place in' the past .
We would like to emphasize that the growth called for by
the proposed General Plan is not necessarily detrimental to
the District , The District requires planned growth in order to
sustain its current facilities as well as to continue to grow. a
must insure, however, that the, growth is provided for adequately
