MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -2- <br /> QUALITY ASSURED PACKING, INC. <br /> STOCKTON TERMINAL <br /> EASTERN RAILROAD OF NEVADA CORP. <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> If the discharge is intermittent rather than continuous, then on the first day <br /> of each such intermittent discharge, the Discharger shall monitor and record data <br /> for all of the constituents listed above, after which the frequencies of analysis <br /> given in the schedule shall apply for the duration of each such intermittent <br /> discharge. In no event shall the Discharger be required to monitor and record <br /> data more often than twice the frequencies listed in the schedule. <br /> FIELD MONITORING <br /> A status report every other month on the condition of the irrigation fields shall <br /> be submitted to the Board on the 15th day of the month following the reporting <br /> period; the first report is due on If there are problems regarding <br /> ground leveling and crop growth, the report shall include actions taken or <br /> planned to correct these problems. Furthermore, by 1 May each year, an <br /> agricultural expert shall certify that the fields are properly leveled and <br /> adequately planted. <br /> STANDING WATER MONITORING <br /> The presence/absence of standing water and mat formation on the disposal fields <br /> and tailwater ditches shall be monitored daily. The report shall include actions <br /> taken (e.g. , leveling, discing, raking, etc. ) to correct the problem, if any, and <br /> prevent future problems. <br /> SOIL PROFILE MONITORING <br /> Once per year, soil profile samples shall b.- obtained from the surface and from <br /> two- and six-foot depths. Sample locations shall be obtained from crop <br /> irrigation areas. Samples shall be analyzed for the following: <br /> Constituents Units <br /> pH pH Units <br /> Specific Conductance gmhos/cm @ 25°C <br /> Nitrate mg/l <br /> Total Nitrogen mg/l <br />
