I was
accompanied by Rich Freitas and John Kurtz. There were no odors.
New screens were installed, one for wash water and spills coming from inside the plant,
and one just prior to the dissolved air flotation (DAF) tank to screen tomato solids.
The pond is lined and is intended to be used for emergencies only.
Fields 1, 2, and 3 and Solari field now have permanent sprinklers. Alpine field has an
above-ground, rented system. Part of Alpine field, closest to a resident's house, is
irrigated with fresh water to prevent potential odor problems.
The Lagorrio field and one of the Solari fields are not being used for irrigation this
year.
CONCLUSIONS:
QAP is weirmaintained and the sprinkler irrigation system is working well . No odors were
observed during the inspection and we have not received any odor complaints this year.
QAP is in compliance with Order Nos. 90-191 and 90-194.
wi a L.
