The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for PURVIANCE DRILLERS INC as of September 10, 2019. <br /> Open violations from May 16, 2019 inspection <br /> Violation #102 -Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Metal fines generated from steel shaving operations are being recycled as scrap metal without first determining particle <br /> size or hazardous properties. An person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Immediately stop recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for the metal fines, and manage it <br /> according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous <br /> waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining <br /> how this waste was managed. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation #301 -Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> Observed oily absorbent not cleaned up underneath the used stationary tank located in the hazardous waste storage <br /> area. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste <br /> to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean and manage <br /> according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how <br /> this waste was managed. Statement submitted on 6/3/19 did not state where the oily absorbent was placed for disposal. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
