In this letter, AM&M raised objections
to the remedial action plan (RAP) proposed by AFPC to address the
subsurface release(s) of diesel fuel at the AM&M facility in
Stockton, California. Based on our review of this letter, it is
our understanding that AM&M has expressed conc rns about the RAP
in the following four general areas:
o Proposed soil cleanup level of 10, 000 p m
o Adequecy of groundwater monitoring network
o PCP soil contamination
o Public participation in the development of the cleanup
plan
Removal and on-site treatment of soils containing diesel fuel
at concentrations greater than 10, 000 ppm was the recommended
remedial action alternative presented in Dames & Moore' s
Feasibility Study/Remedial Action Plan report dated July 13 , 1988 .
OFFICES WORLDWIDE
