We have found the plan to be adequate provided the following
considerations are addressed.
1: Identify the three on-site AFP production wells on the site
map (Dames & Moore February 25, 1987 Phase II Investigation) . Sample
these wells and Monitoring Wells 1,2,& 3 for TPH-G GC-FID; TPH-D
(Sonication) or TPH-G & D GC-FID (5030) and BTX&E 602.
2: Identify on the site map all wells within 2,000 foot radius of
contamination(s) area(s) .
3: Current placement of existing monitoring wells do not
appropriately define the area of contamination. These existing wells
illustrate areas of the site that have not been impacted and are
spaced as perimeter or barrier wells.
These issues should be addressed in a revised sampling plan which
must be submitted to this office for approval prior to initiating the
work plan.
Administration Clinical Services Environmental Health Public Health Nursing
468-3400 468-3830 468-3420 468-3860
Air Pollution Community Services Laboratory WIC
468-3470 468-3820 468-3460 468-3280
AIDS Information 468-3820
