They are flammable and have low solubility in water. <br /> Exposure to these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, <br /> nose, and throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the central nervous system. <br /> Symptoms of exposure at these concentrations include headache, nausea, drowsiness, <br /> dizziness,and loss of coordination. Certain components of gasoline(BTE&X etc.)are known <br /> or suspected carcinogens. <br /> • Metals (copper and lead) - attack the central nervous system, ini emal organs, blood, gums <br /> and gastrointestinal tract; symptoms of exposure include weaknc ss, lassitude, facial pallor, <br /> irritation of the eyes, abdominal pain. <br /> • Pentachlorophenol(PCP)/Tetrachlorophenol(TCP) - attacks the cardiovascular system,the <br /> central nervous sytem, internal organs and the eyes. <br /> Additional potential hazards include: Slip-trip-fall hazards, noise, heavy equipment, vibration <br /> hazards, traffic hazards, etc. <br /> 5.0.
