' Site Contamination Work Plan <br /> American Moulding and Millwork Company <br /> ' 2801 North West Lane, Stockton, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. J. Patrick Hughes of AmericanMoulding and Millwork <br /> ' Company(AM&M)Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.(AGE)has prepared this work plan to assess <br /> potential ground water contamination related to various current and. former operations at the <br /> t referenced site. The assessment was directed by the California Regio al Water Quality Control <br /> Board - Central Valley Region (CRWQCB) by letter dated 20 July 2001. Figure 1 shows the site <br /> setting. Figures 2, 3 and 4 are site plans showing structures and pro osed boring and sampling <br /> ' locations. The scope of work for this site assessment includes: <br /> • Pre-field permitting; <br /> t • Preparation of this work plan; <br /> • Preparation of a health and safety plan; <br /> ' • Advancement of 12 soil borings to first-encountered ground water(approximately 45 to 50 <br /> feet bsg) at various locations on the site identified as potential sources for subsurface <br /> contamination. The borings will be advanced for collection of soil and"grab"ground water <br /> samples; <br /> • Obtaining laboratory analysis of the ground water samples and selected soil samples; and <br /> ' • Preparation of a report of findings. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> ' The northern portion of the AM&M property is currently utilized as a furniture manufacturing <br /> facility. The southern portion of the property is currently vacant,but was historically utilized as a <br /> ' <br /> fruit box manufacturing facility.The Finger Joints/Box Factory Building on the southern portion of <br /> the site was recently destroyed by fire. <br /> ' 2.1. SITE LOCATION <br /> ' The site is located on a 61-acre property on the southwest corner of the intersection of North West <br /> Lane and East Alpine Avenue as shown on Figure 1.A site map illustrate g significant contemporary <br /> structures on the property is included as Figure 2.The site has low topo aphic relief,sloping gently <br /> ' toward the west to southwest, at an elevation between 15 and 20 feet above sea level. <br /> 1I Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br /> 1 it <br />
