IX. Health and Safety Considerations <br /> As required by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and <br /> California OSHA, TRE shall require strict adherence to the following health and <br /> safety measures by all project personnel during the course of sampling of the <br /> subject monitoring wells: <br /> • All personnel shall be don in modified level D ensemble, consisting of hard <br /> hats in areas where overhang structures exist. Work coveralls shall also <br /> be don by all personnel. <br /> • All personnel shall be don in steel toe boots <br /> • All personnel shall wear latex or neoprene gloves during the course of <br /> field sampling. <br /> • All personnel shall also be cognizant of all trip and fall hazards in and <br /> around the site where the monitoring wells are located. <br /> • All personnel shall be cognizant and exercise care when passing through <br /> by railroad crossing. <br /> • All personnel shall be cognizant and be aware of energized equipment <br /> such as conveyors, loaders, hoppers, etc. <br /> • • All personnel shall wash their hands and other extremities after the <br /> sampling is complete <br /> Jay Jahangiri, M.S., REM, REA, shall act as this project's health and safety <br /> officer (HSO) with Mr. Christopher M. Palmer, R.G., CEG, CHG acting as the <br /> alternate HSO. Any and all excursions form the above safety measures shall be <br /> reported to the safety officer for prompt investigation and actions. Personnel <br /> found to be in repeated non-compliance with the foregoing H&S measures, shall <br /> be expelled from the site until any and all H&S discrepancies are corrected and <br /> brought back into compliance. <br /> The nearest medical facility to the site is the San Joaquin County hospital, <br /> located at French Camp road, south on Route 5 interstate, French Camp, CA. <br /> All personnel shall also be cognizant of any potential signs of heat stress, which <br /> if not addressed could be turned into heat stroke. The alternate medical facility, <br /> which is near the site, is Dameron Hospital. Dameron hospital is located at 525 <br /> West Acacia Street, Stockton. <br /> i <br /> 8 <br />
