Project and Operating Description.
2. Project Specifications.
3. Civil Design Drawings.
These design documents indicate the extraction well locations, routing
of the collection piping, necessary equipment and materials, and general
requirements of the project.
Additional design documents are currently being prepared by Black &
Veatch and will be forwarded to you upon completion. These design
documents include groundwater extraction well controls and complete
electrical details; the Health and Safety Plan; Groundwater Remedial
Wellfield Design Report; and Performance Monitoring Plan.
MCTC has preselected Layne Environmental Services (LES) as a "sole-
source" contractor for the required construction efforts. LES is a
subsidiary of The Marley Company and has qualifications and experience
that are well suited for this project. As a result, the design
documents do not reflect the level of formality necessary for
competitive bidding purposes.
