There are several other wells located in the area surrounding these four wells that can
be used for analysis. Columbini Irrigation wells #1 and 3, monitor well MW-446, and
Columbini Domestic well #1 are in the vicinity of Columbini Irrigation well #2 (Figure
1). Columbini Domestic well #3, monitor well MW-443, and 5116 Domestic are in the
vicinity of 5116 Irrigation. Solari Domestic and Solari Irrigation are in the vicinity of
Main Street Domestic and Irrigation, as well as several monitoring wells (Figure 1).
Groundwater quality hydrographs of these four wells indicate that the concentrations
of total dissolved chromium generally have been less than detection limits for the past 5
years (Figures D-138, 140, 142, and 144). Only Main Street Irrigation had a
concentration above the reporting limit over the past 5 years. This occurred in July 2000,
when the reporting limit for total dissolved chromium was changed from 10 micrograms
per liter(µgh) to 1 (µg/1).
Due to the existing network of monitoring wells in the area around these wells, the
lack of cooperation by the owners of the irrigation wells, the presence of inactive or
inoperative wells, and the groundwater quality data, Dudek is asking that these four wells
be dropped from future sampling events.
If you have any questions regarding this matter please contact Peter Quinlan or myself at
(760) 942-5147.
Dudek & Associates, In .
Peter i n, Princi
KayvIlkhanipour, H ogeologist.
cc: Dave Lieb (Marley)
Anthony Calestini (Marley)
Dan Thompson (Marley, Kansas ofc.)
Harlin Knoll (San Joaquin Co.
