'WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> THE MARLEY COOLING TOWER COMPANY <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY -3- <br /> IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the Marley Cooling Tower Company, in order to meet <br /> the provisions contained in Division 7 of the California Water Code and regu- <br /> lations adopted thereunder and the provisions of the Clean Water Act and <br /> regulations and guidelines adopted thereunder, shall comply with the following: <br /> A. Effluent Limitations <br /> 1. The discharge of an effluent in excess of the following limits is <br /> prohibited: <br /> Daily <br /> Constituents Units Maximum <br /> Chromium VI mg/l 0.05 <br /> Total Chromium mg/l 0.05 <br /> Total Arsenic mg/l 0.05 <br /> Total Copper mg/1 0.05 <br /> 2. The discharge shall not have a pH less than 6.5 nor greater than 8.5. <br /> 3. The 30-day average daily discharge shall not. exceed 0.093 million <br /> gallons. <br /> 4. By-pass or overflow of untreated or partially treated contaminated <br /> stormwater is prohibited. <br /> C. Sludge Disposal : <br /> 1. Residues from the ion exchange treatment process, sludges, and other <br /> solids removed from the contaminated stormwater shall be tested and <br /> disposed of in a manner approved by the Executive Officer. <br /> D. Receiving Water Limitations: <br /> 1. The discharge shall not cause visible oil , grease, scum, foam, <br /> floating or suspended material in the receiving waters or water- <br /> courses. <br /> 2. The discharge shall not cause concentrations of any materials in the <br /> receiving waters which are deleterious to human, animal, aquatic, or <br /> plant life. <br /> 3. The discharge shall not cause esthetically undesirable discoloration <br /> of the receiving waters. <br /> 4. The discharge shall not cause fungus, slimes or other objectionable <br /> growths in the receiving waters. <br />
