(AGE)has prepared this letter,of explanatidn for -inconsistencies in the receptor surveys presented in Closure Summary Report -Former UST No.. 7, (CSR), dated 09 August 1999 and in Closure.Summary•Report'Addendum _'Former'UST No. I (C.SRA),dated 18 November 1999, both prepared`by AGE for the above referenced site. Closure Summary Report Second Addendum -Former UST No.'''1 (CSRA2) dated 20 December 1999, was prepared to convey a more detailed site plan and-status information regarding two septic systems on the site. As reported in the CSRA,'during preparation of the CSR, AGE had been-informed that'two wells were on the site and.AGE.had misidentified the well'locations as being beneath-the water towers, one 50 feet from the former UST site, the other approximately 700 feet away. During preparation of the CSRA,AGE learried that three wells had been-on:site, two abandoned and one still open: The . - " piping under the water towers was actually connections to the municipal water supply to the site and were not at any time water wells, therefore, there have not been'and are not presently,.any water well's on the subject,property approximately 50 feet and 700 feet away from the former UST facility. Th,e closest well on site to the former UST site was approximately 1,230 northeast of the'fonrier UST facility. This well.had been open up to the time of the CSR and its abandonment under PHS-EHD permit and inspection was reported in the CSRA.. Two other wells on the site had been abandoned circa 1978, one locate&approximately 1,300 feet northeast of the"former UST facility, the other approximately:2,100 :feet northeast of the'fofiner UST facility. On the site plan included in,the -CSRA2, the most southernly well was the more recently abandoned..At this time,there are no known open-or-activ,e water wells on the site and no additional known or suspected abandoned'water wells - on the-site.
