Collect depth discrete grab groundwater samples, limiting cross contamination according to standard
operating procedures of CPT hydro-punch technology. DI\RV-2 is screened from 60 to 80 feet below
surface grade. Therefore,in order to define the vertical extent of groundwater contamination,a.discrete
sample must be taken in a permeable zone below 80 feet.
3. Sample depths will be based on preferential pa..thways not set depths of 40 and 55 feet below surface grade.
i
More than two samples per boring maybe needed.
4. Grab groundwater samples will be analyzed by EPA method 8260B. Report all peaks shown by this
analysis.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The statement on the cover page of the above-referenced report that once the 1-2 DCA plume is defined,
closure will be granted,is false. The responsible party-may need monitoring wells to show the 1-2 DCA
plume is stable and decreasing in concentratio,A over time.
2. A well permit application is needed along with;the standard$89 fee for wells and soil borings 4n San
Joaquin County. One application and fee per parcel per contractor.
3. Notify PHS/EHD at least 48 hours prior to the proposed scheduled work dates.
DATED BY
;IS,,m Savigg EH
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
Cc: CVRWQCB—Marty Hartzell
URS Corporation-Jack Kemp
American Molding and Millwork-Bernie Sloop
