INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. Bernie Sloop of' erican Moulding and,Millwork Company <br /> (AMM)Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has p epared this work plan.to verify removal of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil associated with an.'unauthorized release from the-former UST No. 1 <br /> facility. This work plan has been prepared'as directed by the County of Sari Joaquin Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)-by letter on 03 March 1999 and as discussed <br /> with Ms. Carol Oz of the PHS-EHD'on 19 May-1999..1.he scope of work includes: <br /> • Preparation of this Work Plan;. ` <br /> • Preparation of a Health and Safety Plan; <br /> • Advancement of one soil boring to 50 feet bsg i jhe former dispenser-area excavation and <br /> a second soil boring in the former UST pit to 5 feet bsg to collect soil and ground water <br /> samples;. <br /> * Obtaining laboratory analysis of the.ground water samples and selected soil samples; and <br /> • Preparation of a,Site Assessment Report or Closure Summary Report, as-appropriate. <br /> The setting of the subject site is illustrated in Figure 1. A site plan showing'structures and boring,, <br /> locations on the subject property are shown on:Figure 2. <br /> This work plan is prepared.in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> A 10,000-gallon, steel underground storage tank (USTI was utilized for diesel fuel on the site as <br /> early as 1983. The UST system failed a precision test on 18 November 1988 and a product line was <br /> repaired on 15 December 1988. <br /> The UST was removed under.inspection by the PHS-.E HD on 27 August 19.93. Two soil samples <br /> were collected from beneath the former=UST location an two samples were collected from beneath:the product line piping. The samples collected.under the north end of-the UST and the north end of <br /> the product line contained,less than. detectable.conceiltrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> quantified as gasoline (TPH-g), total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel_(TPH-d), and <br /> benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX).
