Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #14 Food Contact Surfaces Sanitized or Warewashing Sanitization MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The mechanism which dispenses the sanitation for the sanitizer buckets and for ware washing is <br /> currently not functioning.There was no sanitizer inside of the sanitizer buckets and none was being dispensed when the <br /> associate tried to get the contraption to function properly.Advised to dispense sanitizer manually with water and test with <br /> sanitizer strips to achieve 200-300 PPM QUAT sanitation. Correct immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All food contact surfaces of utensils and equipment shall be clean and sanitized. (I 13984(e), 114097, <br /> 114099.1, 114099.4, 114099.6, 114101 (b-d), 114105, 114109, 114111, 114113, 114115(a, b, d), 114117, 114125(b), 114135, 114141) <br /> #21 Hot and Cold Potable Water Not Available MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The 3 compartment sink currently does not contain hot water reaching the minimum 120F.The <br /> temperature at the time of the inspection was 57F. <br /> The mop sink currently contains no hot water for as the handle is turned, nothing comes out. However,when the faucet <br /> handle is turned for the cold water,water does begin to run but only cold water. <br /> Owner has been alerted of the issue and a facility closure has been issued due to the lack of hot water for ware washing and <br /> floor sanitation. Correct immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:An adequate,protected,pressurized,potable supply of hot water and cold water shall be provided at all times. <br /> (113953(c), 114099.2(b) 114101(a), 114189, 114192, 114192.1, 114195) <br /> #1 Demonstration of Knowledge <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The facility currently contains an expired food handler card and food safety certificate. Obtain renewed <br /> copies and provide to Victor Acevedo(vmacevedo@sjgov.org)within 60 days. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br /> assigned duties.
