1 <br /> Draft Report <br /> Quarterly Croundwater Monitoring <br /> Former American Forest Products Stockton Facility <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 1.0 Introduction <br /> This report has been prepared by Dames & Moore on behalf of the former American Forest <br /> Products Company (AFPC), and presents the results of groundwater sampling at two <br /> monitoring wells at the former AFPC facility (Site) located at 2801 West Lane, Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1) This work has been conducted in response to a letter from the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Service-Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) dated <br /> August 3, 1998 (Appendix A) <br /> 1.1 Purpose <br />' The purpose of this report is to document groundwater sampling activities conducted at the <br /> Site during the fall and winter of 1998199 The objective of groundwater sampling is to <br /> assess Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPH-D) in groundwater at the Site <br /> 1.2 Scope of Work <br /> The scope of work developed for this investigation was presented as a Draft Work Plan <br /> (Dames & Moore, 1998a), and which was reviewed and approved by PHS-EHD in October <br /> 1998 The scope of work outlined in the Draft Work Plan included the following activities <br />' 0 Installation of two (2) groundwater monitoring wells, <br /> • Four (4) quarterly sampling events at the two (2) new monitoring wells for one year, <br /> 0 Analysis of groundwater samples for TPH-D, <br /> • Preparation of a letter report after each water sampling event, and <br /> • Preparation of a summary report following completion of the four sampling events <br />' 1.3 Report Organization <br /> This report is organized into seven sections Section 1 0 is this introduction Section 2 0 <br /> presents a brief summary of the site history Section 3 0 presents a discussion of field and <br /> laboratory methods used during this investigation, including a summary of monitoring well <br />' installation, sample collection procedures, and laboratory test methods used for water <br /> analyses Section 4 0 presents results of the groundwater analyses, including a summary of <br /> all previous groundwater TPH-D results available for monitoring wells at the Site Section <br /> . b 0 presents Dames & Moore's conclusions and recommendations A list of references is <br /> provided in Section 7 0 <br /> MDAMES&MOORE 1 R\cac1044misc\9902_03 doc <br />
