3.0 APPLICABILITY <br /> The purpose of this plan, which was developed specifically for operations at the <br /> American Forest Products site, located at 2801 West Lane, Stockton, California, is to <br /> assign responsibilities, establish personal protection standards and mandatory safety <br /> procedures, and provide for contingencies that may arise while operations are being <br /> conducted at the site This plan complies with, but does not replace, Federal Health and <br /> Safety Regulations as set forth in 29 CFR 1910 and 1926 California Health and Safety <br /> Regulations as set forth in Title 8, California Code of Regulations, and guidance <br /> established by the California Environmental Protection Agency This plan is to be used <br /> ' by Dames & Moore personnel as a supplement to such rules, regulations, and guidance <br /> This health and safety plan is to be augmented by the Dames & Moore Firmwide Health <br /> and Safety Program Manual, which is required to be available on site during all activities <br /> The provisions of the plan are mandatory for all onsite Dames & Moore employees <br /> ' engaged in hazardous material management activities associated with this project which <br /> may involve health and safety hazards <br /> Changing and/or unanticipated site conditions may require modification of this site safety <br /> plan in order to maintain a safe and healthful work environment Any proposed changes <br /> to this plan should be reviewed with the Dames & Moore Duty Safety Officer prior to <br /> their implementation If this is not feasible, the site/project manager may modify the plan <br /> and record all changes in the field log book, under no circumstances will modifications to <br /> this plan conflict with Federal, state, or other governmental health and safety regulations <br /> Dames & Moore is providing a copy of this Health and Safety Plan to each site <br /> subcontractor in order to fulfill its obligation under 8 CCR 5192(b) to inform <br /> subcontractors of site hazards Each Dames & Moore subcontractor is to provide a health <br /> and safety plan that complies with 8 CCR 5192 and addresses the activities of its <br /> employees relative to this project <br /> 1 This Health and Safety Plan is part of Dames & Moore's Injury and Illness Prevention <br /> Program (IIPP), as required by 8 CCR 3203 A summary of Dames & Moore's IIPP is <br /> located in Attachment B A copy of Dames & Moore's written Injury and Illness <br /> Prevention Program is located in Section HS 370 of the Dames & Moore Health and <br /> Safety Program Manual <br /> AMFOREST 217 7 <br />
