ANNUAL REPORT <br /> 1997 GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> FORMER AMERICAN FOREST PRODUCTS COMPANY FACILITY <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report, prepared on behalf of American Forest Products Company (AFPC), presents <br /> the results for the 1997 groundwater monitoring performed at the former AFPC facility In <br /> Stockton, California (Site) Annual and semi-annual monitoring is being performed at the Site in <br /> accordance with an April 11, 1996 letter to AFPC submitted by the San Joaqu1n County Public <br /> Health Services Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) <br /> The April 11, 1996 letter outlined two tasks that AFPC must satisfy These tasks include <br /> semi-annual groundwater level measurements and annual groundwater sampling from five <br /> existing on-Site monitoring wells The results of this report demonstrate that the groundwater <br /> monitoring program, agreed to by PHS/EHD and AFPC, has leen Implemented <br />' The report has been partitioned into three sections and three appendices Section 1 <br /> 0 <br /> presents this introduction Section 2 0 discusses groundwater sampling methods and analytical <br /> results, and Section 3 0 offers a summary of the data Appendix A describes the groundwater <br /> sampling methodology utilized during the sampling round Appendix B presents Field Record <br /> of Water Sample and Chain-of-Custody forms Appendix C presents the Analytical Laboratory <br /> Summary Report, and a memorandum summarizing data validation <br /> 2.0 GROUNDWATER DEPTH, SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS <br /> The groundwater monitoring program (program) includes the measurement of <br /> groundwater levels and the collection and analysis of groundwater samples from five Site <br /> monitoring wells, DMW-1 through DMW-5 Per the program, the depth to groundwater was <br /> measured in January and July of 1997, and groundwater samples were collected in July 1997 <br /> The 1997 groundwater monitoring is the second round to have been performed since <br /> implementation of this program <br />' The sections below discuss the sampling and analytical procedures used during the <br /> 1997 groundwater monitoring The depth to groundwater procedures are discussed in Section <br /> i R�SAC1044MISC19706 05 WPD <br />' DAMES&MOORE <br />
