REPORT <br /> EVALUATION OF HYDROCARBON MOBILITY <br /> AMERICAN FOREST PRODUCTS COMPANY <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report has been prepared by Dames & Moore for American Forest Products Company <br /> (AFPC) and presents an evaluation of hydrocarbon mobility at the former AFPC facility (Site) <br /> located at 2801 West Lane, Stockton, California This work has been conducted in response to <br /> comments from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division(PHS- <br /> EHD) presented in their March 1, 1995 letter and modified as a result of subsequent discussions <br /> 11 PURPOSE <br /> The purpose of this report is to present an evaluation of the mobility of residual hydrocarbons <br /> in soils at the Site in order to support decisions regarding site closure Closure options being <br /> considered for the Site include either continued monitoring and/or remedial actions Although the <br /> focus of this work is on soils, groundwater sampling and analysis results are also available and are <br /> used to support the conclusions presented in this report <br /> 1 2 REPORT ORGANIZATION <br /> This report is organized into five sections Section 1 0 is this introduction Section 2 0 <br /> presents a summary of the site history including previous investigations, remedial actions, and <br /> technical engineering and modeling evaluations Field and laboratory methods from current <br /> investigations are presented in Section 3 0 and include a summary of soil boring and monitoring well <br /> mstallation, sample collection procedures, and laboratory test methods used for soil and water <br /> analyses Section 4 0 presents the results of recent soil and groundwater analyses A discussion of <br /> the soil and groundwater data and a Designated Level Methodology (DLM) evaluation is presented <br /> in Section 5 0 Section 6 0 presents our conclusions and recommendations <br /> 1 3 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work developed for this evaluation was submitted in a letter from Dames & <br /> Moore to the PHS-EHD on April 14, 1995 The scope of work outlined in this letter included the <br /> following activities <br /> SAC156 14 1 <br /> DAMES &MOORE <br />
