UM
,G
Mr. Jeffrey Wong
San Joaquin Public Health Service
Fourth Quarter 2003 Groundwater Monitoring Report
June 11,2004
• system monitoring compounds(surrogates);
s
• laboratory control samples; i6
a
• matrix spike/matrix spike dupticates;'and
I
• compound identification and quantification.
3 h
The results of the data validation are included in the Data Validation Summary (Appendix B). The data
validation found all results to be acceptable and useable for their intended purpose with the no
limitations: r
GROUNDWATER ELEVATIONS AND GRADIENT
I
A contour map of groundwater elevations is shown in Figure 3. Current and historical water level
elevation data for all wells are included in Table 2. Water levels measured in the fourth quarter of 2003
were between 48 and 50 feet below ground surface, or approximately —32 feet with reference to mean
sea Ievel datum(MSLD). Although historical data indicate a rise in water levels subsequent to 1990, data 1
}
collected since December 1999 suggest that this trend may have stabilized or reversed.
Fourth quarter 2003 water level data indicate a groundwater gradient of 0.011 to the west-northwest.
GROUNDWATER ANALYTICAL RESULTS
II
A historical summary of analytical resultsjfor groundwater samples collected through December 2003 is
included in Table 3. Results for tetrachlo}}roethene (PCE) and 1,2-dichloroethatne (1,2-DCA) are also
presented on Figure 4.
TPH-diesel ;'
E
I 1
Total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH), repoted as unknown hydrocarbon (UH) due to lack of match with j
the TPH-diesel standard were reported for DMW-3 (200 micrograms per liter(RglL)).
i
Volatiles and Oxygenates by EPA Method 8260B
1,2-Dichloroethane was reported in sampl IIs collected from DMW-5 (3.5 µg/L), and DMW-6 (18 µg/L).
These results are equal to or lower than previously reported results. Chloroform was reported in samples
collected from DMW-1 (2.1 gg/L) and DMW-5 (1.4 gg/L). No PCE or other volatile constituents were
detected.
I
i K:1Wprocess12273614Q03AFP_revOl.doc
it
