A damaged battery shall be managed so as to <br /> minimize the release of acid and lead and to protect the handlers and the environment,including at a minimum. <br /> 1.stored and transported in a nonreactive,structurally secure,closed container capable of preventing the C <br /> r lease of acid and lead; <br /> 2.a container holding one or more damaged batteries shall be labeled with the date that the first battery in the ` Q <br /> ntainer was placed there,i.e.,the initial date of accumulation; Wv'J�ry- <br /> 3.all container labels shall be written in ink,paint or other weather-resistant material so that the date Is legible <br /> and conspicuous 1 <br /> 4,a container holding one or more damaged batteries shall be packed for transportation in a manner that L <br /> prevents the container from tipping,spilling or breaking during the transporting. <br /> Immediately manage,store,and label all damaged lead-acid batteries in accordance with Title 22 regulations. '0 <br /> This Is a Class 11 violation. <br /> 609 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel fillers. <br /> Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil fitters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of <br /> lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil fitters <br /> for the last three years,maintain them on site,and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. � n p <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection report was provided to the facility operator on the day of Inspection. The report was amended by <br /> the EHD. The amended report replaces the initial report. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation,and any supporting <br /> paperwork,within 30 days of receiving the amended inspection report. <br /> Violation 102 and 406 were re-written, <br /> Waste Streams:used oil, coolant,absorbent,parts washer waste <br /> Note,the following violation was corrected on site, <br /> The contingency plan was observed as incomplete, missing the location of the fire extinguishers,spill kits, and <br /> the name and phone numbers of the current emergency coordinators.
