All broken <br /> universal waste lamps and releases shall be immediately cleaned and containerized. Immediately store all universal <br /> waste lamps in a manner that prevents breakage and release to the environment. Submit proof of correction to the <br /> EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 707 CCR 66273.34 UW handler(UWH)failed to label universal waste to identify type of universal waste. <br /> The following was observed during the site walk through: <br /> UOP North Service Road near Knoles Field <br /> -A shipping container used to store large items of universal waste such as copiers and printers was not labeled. <br /> Universal waste shall be marked with the words"Universal Waste"and the type of waste(batteries, mercury <br /> containing equipment, lamps,electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass). Immediately label these wastes and ensure that <br /> all universal wastes are labeled with the required information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 708 CCR 66273.35 UWH stored UW onsite greater than one year or was unable to demonstrate storage time. <br /> The following was observed during the site walk through: <br /> UOP North Service Road near Knoles Field <br /> -A shipping container used to store large items of universal waste(i.e.copy machines, refrigerators, etc.)were not <br /> labeled. <br /> Universal waste may be accumulated for no longer than one year from the date the universal waste was generated. <br /> The universal waste handler shall be able to demonstrate the length of time that the universal waste has been <br /> accumulated.
