SAN J O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> - COUNTY <br /> RCRA Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC 3601 PACIFIC AVE, STOCKTON July 29,2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> The following were observed during the site walk through: <br /> Chemical storage area: <br /> -Absorbent found next to the bottles of buffers on the ground and various areas of the floor <br /> (1)Empty 1-gallon container which previous contents are unknown, labeled with the words discard <br /> (1)Broken container of Aluminum Carbide <br /> Baun Hall <br /> -Wet grinders generate metal fines from sanding down metal samples encased in acrylic <br /> UOP North Service Road near Knoles Field <br /> -Unmounted transformers <br /> -Old sodium lamps around the campus that have been replaced with LED lamps <br /> -Microwaves found inside of equipment storage fence that is not enclosed <br /> Art Center <br /> -(2)1-gallon containers of paint found behind the arts center <br /> John T Chambers, School of Engineering and Computer Science Storage area <br /> -(1)Lead acid battery <br /> -(1)Mini Fridge <br /> Mechanical engineering room <br /> -Metal fines from machines <br /> -Computer <br /> Technological Innovation Entrepreneurship Space(TIES) <br /> -(1) 1-gallon container was found under the fume hood with no labels. <br /> Callison Hall <br /> -Old leaking bottles of ecolab solutions are being stored in old 5-gallon pulsar containers <br /> Chemistry Building <br /> -Room 101 a beaker with white substance and filter paper were found in the fume hood. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste.
