PRIVILEGED&CONFIDENTIAL <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELL <br /> ABANDONMENT WORK PLAN <br /> Wells Fargo Bank Property <br /> 49 South Wilson Way <br /> Stockton, California <br /> SJCEHD Site No. 506077 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Building Analytics is pleased to submit this work plan, which summarizes proposed <br /> groundwater monitoring well abandonment activities regarding the Wells Fargo Bank <br /> property located at 49 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California, to the San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) and to Wells <br /> Fargo Bank, Corporate Properties Group. -This Groundwater Monitoring Well <br /> Abandonment Site Work Plan was prepared in general accordance with the SJCEHD <br /> regulations and the requirements outlined in the Building Analytics Proposal Number <br /> LA4333 dated January 11, 1999. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), October 1995 <br /> Building Analytics conducted a Phase I ESA.of the subject property in October, 1995. <br /> The following environmental issues were identified: <br /> • According to historical Sanborn fire insurance maps, a gasoline service station <br /> existed on the subject property during the 1950's. <br /> • During the site reconnaissance, Building Analytics observed an ongoing <br /> subsurface investigation at the former Roek Construction facility, adjacent, on the <br /> southeast corner of the intersection of South Wilson Way and East Market Street. <br /> The government records research indicated that a Texaco gasoline service station <br /> currently located adjacent, on the southwest corner of the intersection of South <br /> Wilson Way and East Market Street, had been identified as a leaking underground <br /> storage tank (LUST).site. <br /> 2.2 Phase II Subsurface Investigation,February 1996 <br /> A Phase II Subsurface Investigation was performed by Building Analytics in February <br /> 1996, to investigate the potential effects of an environmental impact by the former on-site <br /> gasoline service station. The following is a summary of the findings from the <br /> investigation: . <br /> • Soil samples were collected from five Geoprobe borings at depths of up to 25 <br /> feet below ground surface (bgs). <br /> • The soil samples revealed non-detectable concentrations of total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d) and benzene, <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX). <br /> - 1 199164--WFB.Stockton Well Abandonment Work Plan <br />
