As proposed in our
work plan, we intend to drill one soil boring, sampling continuously, to a depth of
approximately 70 feet below ground surface. Additionally, we intend on collecting one
groundwater sample from the boring. Also per our conversation, we understand that the
permit currently on file (Permit#013421)with your agency is still valid as long as we use
the same drilling company listed on the permit(Greg Drilling).
The groundwater sample and selected soil samples will be analyzed for TPH, BTEX and
MTBE using EPA Method nos. 8015M (TPH) and 80: 0 (BTEX and MTBE). Also per
your request, we will analyze the samples for fuel oxygenates and blending agents (i.e.
TAME, MTBE, DIPE,ETBE and Tert Butanol)using EPA Method no. 8260.
We propose to begin drilling activities on August 26, 1998 and complete the drilling
activities on the same day. I have attached a copy of the site map showing the location of
the soil boring.
Should you have any questions or comments regarding the scheduled strat date or the scope
of work, please do not hesitate to call me at(818) 500-1898.
Respectfully submitted,
BUILDING ANALYTICS
Russell M.
