e
/1
f
I QUARTERLY REPORT
'— April 1996
Top Filling Station
101.South Wilson Way
Stockton, California
L
1.0. INTRODUCTION
I In accordance with the request of Mr. Ed Endich, Advanced.GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has
prepared this Quarterly Report for the property at 101 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California. The
report summarizes fieldwork performed at the site during April 1996. The location of the site is
' illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map. A layout of the property is depicted in Figure 2 - Site Plan.
e with the San Joaquin County -
This "report is prepared in accordant q , Y Public Health Services
'- Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
LBoard (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites.
I
2.0. BACKGROUND
i„—r- 2.1. SITE LOCATION
is
The.stte is located at 101 S: Wilson Way, on the southwest corner of the intersection of Wilson Way
and Market Street, in the city of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California(Figure 1). The site is
located within the northeast quarter of Section 32, Township'1 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo
-- Base and Meridian. The Top Filling Station (TFS) operates as a gasoline dispensing station and
automobile repair facility located in an area of low topographic relief.in Stockton. The surrounding
area is utilized for residential and.light industrial purposes.
2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL
{— It is our understanding that two USTs were removed from the site in 1988. Soil samples were
I collected beneath each UST and beneath the associated piping. The samples were analyzed for total
petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and volatile aromatics (benzene, toluene,
L ethyl benzene and xylene: BTE&X). TPH-g and BTE&X were detected in the soil samples collected
beneath the USTs at concentrations ranging from 22 parts per million (ppm) to 2,200 ppm.
presently utilizes two 10 000- allon asoline USTs at the site. Approximately two abandoned
TFS p y g g
— USTs are presently located north of the gas station office. The fill ports of the abandoned USTs are
blocked approximately eighteen inches below surface grade (bsg), preventing determination of the
. volumes of the USTs. A plan to remove the abandoned.USTs is presently being considered by the
property owners.
I
