The State Water Resource Control
Board (SWRCB) will invoice you directly for activities performed under the auspices of
the Local UST Oversight Program. The goal of the site evaluation performed by Public
Health Services Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) is to certify closures of
underground storage tank leakage sites pursuant to California Code of Regulations,
r Division 3, Chapter 16, Article 11 (Corrective Action Regulations). Based on the knowledge that this site has had USTs in the past, on the
groundwater sample results from the monitoring well, and on the data gathered to date
for other nearby properties in the area, PHS-EHD requests Wells Fargo Bank conduct
additional site assessment to determine the full extent of the contamination. Please
submit a workplan to conduct additional site assessment to PHS-EHD by August
31, 1996.
PHS-EHD has not identified any other responsible parties for this site at this time.
However, the last operator of the USTs immediately before the discontinuation of their
use may be named, assuming the release from the USTs occurred during the normal
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
