readings and stained soil were observed only in boring B-2. Geologic cross-sections are
included as Figure 6.
LABORATORY RESULTS
Soil
TPH in Soil
The samples collected from borings B-1 and B-3 and submitted for chemical analysis were
reported by the laboratory to contain non-detectable concentrations of TPH-g. The sample
from B-3 at 35 feet contained petroleum hydrocarbons in the C-28 to C-39 (motor oil
range) at a concentration of 83 ppm.
The samples from P-6 and P-7 contained non-detectable concentrations of TPH in the CS to
C44+ range, benzene or MTBE.
The samples from boring B-2 contained concentrations of TPH-g ranging from 1,300 ppm
at 35 feet bgs to 65 ppm at 55 feet bgs. The laboratory results are summarized in Tables 2
and 3. Laboratory reports and chain-of-custody forms are includ6d as Appendix B.
BTEX in Soil
The samples collected from borings B-1 and B-3 and submitted for chemical analysis were
reported by the laboratory to contain non-detectable concentrations of benzene and MTBE
The samples from boring B-2 contained concentrations of benzene ranging from 0.027
ppm to 0.39 ppm. Toluene was detected at concentrations ranging from 0.12 ppm to 0.24
ppm. Ethylbenzene was detected at concentrations ranging from 0.0035 ppm to 2.1 ppm.
Total xylenes ranged from 0.0095 ppm to 4.3 ppm.
The samples from P-6 and P-7 contained non-detectable concentrations of benzene or
MTBE_
MTBE was not reported in any of the soil samples submitted for chemical analysis. The
laboratory results are summarized in Tables 2 and 3. Laboratory reports and chain-of-
custody forms are included as Appendix B.
Groundwater
TPH in Water
' The groundwater samples from MWA and MW-3 were reported by the laboratory to
contain non-detectable concentrations of TPH-g.
The sample collected from MW-2 contained TPH-g at a concentration of 1.6 ppm. TPH-g
' and BTEX concentrations in groundwater are presented in Figure 5. The laboratory results
are summarized in Tables 4 and 5. Laboratory reports and Chain-of-Custody forms are
included as Appendix B.
9 197046a - Stockton
