During an alarm condition, the solenoid will immediately shut off all power to the <br /> inline pump and compressor until the AST alarm condition is verified by Facility personnel. <br /> 2.2.1. Piping — 22 CCR § 66265.192 (k)(2)(C) <br /> A 2" steel waste oil conduit pipe is connected to catch tray pans in the Facility work bays. <br /> The conduit piping connects to an enclosed inline pump which pulls liquid from the pans <br /> to the top of the AST/pipe connection. <br /> 2.2.2. Pump — 22 CCR § 66265.192 (k)(2)(D) <br /> The pump is connected to the pans is low flow and runs when liquid reaches 75% of <br /> capacity in the pans. <br /> 2.3. STORAGE — 22 CCR § 66265.192 (k)(8) <br /> Vehicle waste oil is stored within the double walled AST with a capacity of 1,000-gallons. <br /> Waste oil is a flammable liquid with a specific gravity is approximated at 0.82 kilogram <br /> per cubic meter (kg/m3). <br /> 3.0. SECONDARY CONTAINMENT <br /> The AST is double walled and has a 110% secondary shell for containment of a spill from <br /> the primary. The top and side view of the AST are depicted in Figure 3. The manufacturer <br /> tank specifications are included in Appendix A. <br /> 3.1. TANK DESIGN — 22 CCR § 66264.193(e)(3) <br /> The AST is manufactured by Containment Solutions under the Waste Evac tank style. <br /> The primary and secondary compartments are manufactured from 10-gauge steel with a <br /> standard 1/8-inches thickness, 55-inches width, 113-inches length, 48-inches height and <br /> cuboid in shape. The AST ancillary equipment is discussed in Section 2.0 of this report <br /> and includes: <br /> • Visual overflow gauge. <br /> • Audible overflow sensor alarm. <br /> • Emergency overflow pneumatic shutoff solenoid system. <br /> • Primary and secondary emergency vent fittings <br />
