(Ground Zero)submits this Surr mary Report on behalf of Sunnyside Produce to' <br /> summarize the subsurface investigation activities conducted 4t the subject property(Figure 1). <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 1.1 Purpose <br /> The purpose of the investigation was to delineate the vertical and lateral extent of soil and groundwater <br /> contamination associated with the underground storage tanks(USTs)formerly located at the facility. II <br /> li <br /> 1.2 Limitations if <br /> This assessment was performed utilizing methods and prDeedures consistent with good commercial or: <br /> "T <br /> customary practices designed to conform to acceptable industry standar The independent conclusions' <br /> represent Ground Zero's best professional judgement bused on the conditions that existed and the <br /> information and data available to us during the course of this assignment. Factual information regarding' <br /> operations, conditions, and test data provided by Sunnyside Produce have been assumed to be correct and <br /> complete. <br /> 1.3 Resources <br /> Scan Garvey, a Ground Zero geologist, directed field work on July 28 and July 30 1999. Mr. Garvey <br /> supervised the drilling of nine soil borings at the site, five of which were drilled using the direct push drilling <br /> method, and four of which were drilled using a hand auger. Fisch Environmental (Fisch), a State licensed <br /> —drilling company (C57-683685), advanced the direct push borings, and Anthony Scoma, a Ground Zero <br /> —technician advanced the hand auger borings. Argon Labor-,lories, Inc.
