The work was <br /> conducted pursuant to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> directives <br /> 1.0 WELL INSTALLATION AND SAMPLING METHODS <br /> 1.1 Permitting and Protocols <br /> Prior to initiating fieldwork, well installation permits were obtained from EHD All fieldwork <br /> was performed in accordance with Ground Zero's Site Safety Plan and Quality <br /> Assurance/Quality Control Plan <br /> 1.2 Drilling and Soil Sampling <br /> On October 30, 2002, V&W Drilling, Inc (V&W, C57# 720904) advanced soil borings <br /> MW5, MW6, and MW7 at the site for the purpose of installing groundwater monitoring wells <br /> The well locations are shown on Figure 2 V&W utilized a drilling rig equipped with hollow <br /> stem augers to advance the borings Soil samples were collected from borings MW5 through <br /> MW7 at 5-foot intervals for classification and subjective evaluation of contamination An 18- <br /> inch long core sampler lined with new 2-inch diameter brass sleeves was used to collect soil <br /> samples <br /> 0\Data\GROUNDZE\Barnyard-Manseraeports\WELLS RPT MW 5_6_7 doc <br />
